Shooting Burada Olma Seher – Bir Zamanlar İstanbul

Filming “Burada Olma Seher” at Media City’s Studio B began with the construction of an authentically detailed early-20th-century Istanbul set on the studio’s expansive 185 m² soundstage. This generous floor area allowed the art department to build multiple street scenes and interior rooms side-by-side, enabling rapid scene changes and continuity control.
Cinematographers leveraged four Grass Valley Full HD cameras equipped with professional CCUs to capture each shot in broadcast-quality clarity. A 20 m² LED wall provided dynamic backgrounds—projecting changing skies, passing trams, and bustling crowds—to enhance realism without the need for costly location shoots. Precise lighting was achieved via a DMX-512-controlled LED console and a versatile ceiling grid, delivering cinematic depth and mood exactly as envisioned by the director.
Audio engineers recorded dialogue and ambient sounds using a state-of-the-art digital mixer and six wireless microphones, ensuring every whispered secret and street-vendor call was captured with crystal-clear fidelity. Meanwhile, on-site generators and UPS backup systems guaranteed uninterrupted power throughout the shoot, eliminating delays and safeguarding the production schedule.
